Thinking Outside Alternatives to remand for children
Effective Change worked with Jesuit Social Services to produce Thinking OutsideAlternatives to remand for children – a summary report presenting the main issues arising from 12 months of research into remand and young people in Victoria. The fundamental question of the research was – What can be done better? The report presents key policy, legislation, theory and practice impacting on children’s pathways to and experiences of remand and recommendations for reform.
Development of a Common Assessment Form for Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS)
Common assessment information and a common assessment form are important ingredients in achieving greater consistency in routine assessment practice in the Victorian ACAS. Through extensive research, trials and surveys across Victoria, Effective Change developed a common assessment form for aged care assessments for the Department of Health and Human Services.
The outcome of the project was the Victorian Common Assessment Form (VCAF), which became the basis of the National Comprehensive Assessment Form.
Living well 50+ …a data story
Developing a data collection framework for the City of Whittlesea to support collaborative planning for people as they age required researching the compatibility of data bases, understanding what data is available and knowing how to make this data accessible and relevant.
Working with broad stakeholder groups, Effective Change researched, conceptualised and produced a planning framework to guide data collection to tell a 'joined up' ageing, health and wellbeing story of the 50+ population, now and into the future.
