Effective Change is evaluating this project which aims to improve Australian medical practitioners’ and students’ legal knowledge and practice by developing and delivering online training about the law relating to palliative and end-of-life care for the Australian Centre for Health Law Research (ACHLR), Faculty of Law, and the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI), Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Touchable Sound – an Arts and Dementia Project
‘Touchable Sound’ is an innovative and strategically positioned arts approach co-designed by Maroondah City Council’s Arts and Cultural Development and Aged and Disability teams. The aim of the project is to develop an approach and resources which can be used in multiple settings with people with dementia and their carers, to address social and emotional wellbeing through creative and engaging participatory activity. |

Evaluation of the Regional Centre for Culture
Effective Change undertook an evaluation of the Regional Centre for Culture (RCC) Program for Creative Victoria. The RCC was a year-long program, taking place across the 2018 calendar year, focusing on a specific geographical area, shining a spotlight on local creativity, culture and events. The inaugural Victorian RCC was held in one of Victoria's key regional cultural hubs, encompassing the City of Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander Shire, Central Goldfields Shire and Hepburn Shire. The program was supported by a $4 million investment from the Victorian government. |
Evaluation of two Koolin Balit Early Years projects in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne
We have recently completed an evaluation of two projects in western Melbourne. Both projects developed new models and new early years service partnerships to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to navigate and access culturally safe child and family services. The project aimed to address service gaps, empower families and challenge and assist services to provide culturally safe services. The projects were undertaken in two partnerships which involved twenty agencies in total across the western region. |
